Sponge
Sponge
Sponge has proven to be one of the Motor City's heaviest hitters after gaining international notoriety with their debut album "Rotting Piñata” (Sony). Emerging from Detroit with hits like "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)" Sponge received massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast and were in heavy rotation on MTV. Both “Plowed” and “Molly” hit #5 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Charts, catapulting “Rotting Piñata” to Gold, and ultimately Platinum status.

Sponge's follow up CD, the critically lauded “Wax Ecstatic” (Columbia) scored additional top ten Billboard hits including "Wax Ecstatic" and "Have You Seen Mary?" The band’s music was also featured in popular movies “The Craft,” “Chasing Amy,” “Mall Rats” and “Empire Records.” Sponge’s star continued to rise with network appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and the “Conan O’Brien Show.”

Sponge’s subsequent releases “New Pop Sunday,” “For All The Drugs in The World,” “The Man,” “Galore Galore,” and “Destroy the Boy,” showcased the band’s swirling sonic attack, rooted in 70's glam and of course, the Motor City influences of The Stooges, The MC5 and Motown-but still sounding distinctly like no one else.

“Plowed” continues to be the band’s signature rock track, having been spotlighted on Guitar Hero’s “Warriors of Rock – 90’s Rock Track Pack” – and on the Paper Jamz Guitar Series 2, in addition to the soundtrack for the Gerard Butler surf movie “Chasing Mavericks.”
13 Angels
13 Angels
13 Angels is a Chicago based Psychobilly band with a classy murderous sound.
80 Proof Preacher
80 Proof Preacher
80 Proof Preacher is a band of working class, middle aged (two of us are really old) guys with an idea of playing music that is both melodic and true to who we are. We play music to get everyday bullshit off our chests. We play music to subdue the voices in our heads that may or may not tell us to strangle our coworkers. We play music to have fun, meet new people/bands and because it’s just what we enjoy doing. We are guitarist/backups Tony Caschetta, guitarist/lead vocalist Aaron McDuffie, drummer Phil Warbiany and bassist/lead vocalist Paul Zamost. Believe it or not Paul was found via craigslist under the tag of “old school punk looking for old school punks”. You might even know Paul from a band that basically started the punk seen in Chicago back in the 80s called The Effigies. Us other three hacks are just southsiders that have been in multiple bands with and without each other over the course of 20+ years.
The Dead Hands
The Dead Hands
The Dead Hands are an alternative rock rhythm and blues band based out of Chicago, Illinois. Their very first single "Grind Your Teeth" was selected for WGN's Breakthrough Band Competition. After on-line voting and performing live on WGN Midday News, they won first prize! 10,000 dollars towards an E.P. at I.V. Labs Studio in Chicago, IL.

"They just sounded different, and that was pretty obvious during sound check," said Tom Barnas, segment producer for Midday News. "Their vocals and their playing was tight. Their songs packed a punch. They just had an air about them."

The Dead Hands released their follow up E.P. "Shiny Things" in late 2014, while 2015 and 2016 was spent pushing their music on radio stations, Touch Tunes Across America, and, of course, live!

Currently, The Dead Hands are back in the studio, working on their third E.P. Expect more music, videos, shows, and, definitely, fun along the way in 2017!
